Agricultural Development

Millions of people vulnerable to hunger and poverty engage
in small-scale or subsistence farming.

We support small scale-farming and invest in agriculture to provide new options to sustainably produce and sell an
array of crops and livestock products through your our agriculture programmes. Our interest in this sector is a part of
our broader effort to empower women and youth with economic opportunities

Farmers Market

Most farmers find it difficult to access the market to sell their produce so they have to engage middlemen who set high farm gate prices. Some farmers who manage to penetrate the market struggle to break even due to several market regulations, charges and market association’s dictated prices. The markets are structured in a way that forces agricultural producers to become price takers.
The aim of our periodic farmers market is to facilitate the proper compensations of farmers through the sales of their produce by bringing one-on-one with their consumers. It will also improve business performance, enhance business environment particularly for women and youth, promote economic growth, and strengthen households and communities.
